| This gorgeous sunken great-room was being used as an office area for the apartment complex administration (below left), while residents were to congregate in a smaller room down the hall. We came up with a space plan that switched the focus of these rooms, so this wonderful space was opened up as a warm, comfortable place to sit and relax (below right). | |||

| The fireplace was re-faced in rich, russet marble slab. Giving this space warmth and texture was really important to us, so we brought in new multi-hued carpet and painted the dramatic beams that frame the room with warm colors. | |||

| Residents are invited to relax on the custom sofa or skirted swivel chairs designed to turn toward the flat screen TV on the rear wall, then swivel back into place when not in use. The cream oval ottoman provides extra seating while allowing an unobstructed view from entry to fireplace. | |||

| Prior to the design process it was hard to imagine the unfinished space (above, left) could become the welcoming reception area you see in the photo above right. | ||

For this medical office in downtown Portland, our client had a strong personal aesthetic (wood and leather was preferred) as well as an art collection to display. We designed a custom wood reception counter with a concrete counter top to greet patients. The counter’s round curve is echoed in the shape of the rich wood plank flooring. Custom chairs in durable, leather-like vinyl round out the reception area and add to the rich, traditional feel of the room. The contrast of light and dark tones is a repeating theme in the flooring, furnishings, and walls. |

This project is a great example of stylish mixture of custom and retail pieces. The armchairs and sofa were custom designed and made by a local upholstery shop, while the silk window drapery panels and various accessories were found at local retail stores |

We replaced the full-size refrigerator with an undercounter model, expanding the new counter surface area and visually opening up the space. An island was installed for more storage and to encourage gathering around for conversation and cookies. |

This 1960s-era apartment complex near Seattle was understandably worn, with dated finishes and frosted glass windows that obscured a phenomenal lake view. We specified interior and exterior paint schemes, pool furniture, signage, apartment unit materials and finishes, and oversaw a complete clubhouse remodel, including offices. |

For this AV showroom, we designed a custom curve-front sofa in soft charcoal velvet, and side chairs in shimmering sage and silver to echo the style of the deco-era building. Large industrial-style sliding doors close off the showroom from the reception area and conference room flanking either side. Window treatments operate by remote control to darken the room for a complete theater experience. |

| This was a complete remodel of the entire apartment complex. We specified all interior and exterior colors and finishes, choosing warm paint tones and custom seating in rich greens and browns. Since this room opens up to the pool deck, the carpet was in dire need of replacing, so we put in limestone porcelain tiles, inset with commercial carpet tiles to define the living and dining areas. | |||
